A journey into the heart of Vienna's cultural heritage

the original Strauss concert hall

History

The Strauss Hall at Casino Zögernitz – a masterpiece of Viennese music history. Opened in 1837 by Ferdinand Zögernitz and musically consecrated by Johann Strauss’ father, it is the last place in the world where all four Strauss geniuses performed. Here you can sit in the original chairs and feel the magic of a venue that keeps the Viennese musical tradition alive.

Acoustics

The acoustics of the Strauss Hall – a sound miracle in the history of Viennese music. The special design of the hall allows the room to literally merge with the music, as if it were playing itself. Musicians and listeners describe the experience as if they were sitting inside a violin – lively, clear and intense. These extraordinary acoustics make the Strauss Saal a place where every concert is an incomparable listening experience.

Vienna

the musical capital of the world, birthplace of the waltz and operetta, home to countless musical geniuses such as Beethoven, Brahms and the Strauss dynasty. It was here that the Danube Waltz was first heard, conquering the world and establishing Vienna’s reputation as the queen of music. At the House of Strauss, you will experience unforgettable concerts of the highest quality and immerse yourself in the rich, vibrant history of this unique city.
